Who You Will Work With:

This vacant Participant Regulations, Specialist role will report to the Leader, Participant Regulation and is a key internal and external facing role within the Legal, Compliance, and Regulations team. This position is responsible for management and co-ordination of Interac Corp’s Regulations. 

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for end-to-end management and co-ordination of Regulation amendments in support of Product enhancements/new features, including:

    • Coordination of senior management sign-off of Regulation updates

    • Preparing and distributing notices to external stakeholders in line with the Corporation’s Agreements

    • Participating in meetings and communicating with internal stakeholders, as required

    • Presenting at relevant committees

  • Assess current Participant requirements and providing recommendations to senior members of the team

  • Manage the Operating Regulations mailbox, disseminating and ensuring adherence to timely responses

  • Work co-operatively with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Update and maintain Regulations’ frameworks, processes and contact lists

  • Coordinate of annual internal Regulation attestation process

  • Responsible for maintaining Regulations on company and Client portals

  • Perform other tasks as may be directed

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role

  • University/College education (or equivalent in experience)

  • Familiarity with and understanding of the payments industry and the regulatory environment is an asset

  • Strong writing, grammar and proof-reading skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal

  • Strong documentation development background, particularly in financial services

  • Strong critical thinker, with the analytical skills to identify, evaluate and resolve business challenges, and competing points of view

  • Experience producing formal communications

  • Experience managing documents and data in an electronic database

  • Solid critical thinking, analytical and problem resolution skills to analyze trends and impacts, identify options and implications, and propose practical solutions

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities, and meet time-sensitive deadlines

  • Resourceful, organized and possess sound judgment

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to research and/or investigate issues to execute on assigned tasks

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity

The hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
