Commercial Paralegal

Location: This role will be based on-site at our St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Headquarters.

The Commercial Paralegal provides legal support to attorneys and coordinates commercial contracting process including intake, triage, and execution of contract workflows. This role serves as a key internal point-of-contact and subject matter expert, acting as a liaison between Commercial Legal and internal stakeholders. The Commercial Paralegal helps operationalize legal standards into scalable processes, templates, and playbooks, and participates in projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and consistency.  

What can you expect to do?

• Provide support to multiple Jabil attorneys and coordinate commercial contracting workflows.
• Redline various contracts/documents to Jabil risk profile standards.
• Proofread and correct prepared materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, format and content.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and maintain positive interactions, including responsive communications, in all internal and external business relationships.
• Maintain and help evolve contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks in alignment with attorney guidance.
• Support M&A activities.
• Track contract pipeline status, deadlines, and workload prioritization for assigned attorneys.
• Define, track, and monitor key performance indicators for commercial contracting operations, partnering with Legal Operations on reporting and dashboards.
• Assist with IP database upkeep and act as docketing backup.
• Provide administrative support on an as-needed basis.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?

• Bachelor's degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
• 3-5+ years of paralegal or related experience required.
• IP experience a plus but not necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with DocuSign and PDF required. Familiarity with MSFT Visio, Power BI, Serengeti and ChatGPT is a plus.
• Creative problem-solver.
• Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while being flexible.
