Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Lead and support P2P activities, including invoice processing, payments, and vendor management, ensuring efficient and accurate transaction flow.
  • Serve as the primary contact for P2P-related issues, handling escalations, and maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze P2P metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure strict adherence to P2P policies and compliance with internal controls, supporting audits and governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with BPO third-party service providers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless procurement and payment operations.
  • Manage relevant financial reporting, including the reconciliation of P2P-related general ledger accounts and tracking of performance metrics.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, providing P2P data to support financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on P2P processes and best practices, ensuring all process documentation is accurate and up to date.

Scope and Complexity

The Procure to Pay (P2P) Senior Analyst will be responsible for North America (NAM - US & Canada) Accounts Payable (A/P) activities rolling up under the management of the consolidated RPO/P2P Senior Manager, Americas team. This role is accountable to perform a variety of A/P tasks. In addition to managing an independent workload, this role will also provide support as needed to the RPO/P2P Senior Manager and the Head of Indirect Source to Pay (S2P) supporting the Americas. The P2P Senior Analyst's scope includes CHEP USA, CHEP International, CHEP Canada, Brambles USA & Pallecon, ~ $2B in indirect/direct spend.

This individual contributor role is solely regional in focus, and includes the following key responsibilities

  • Lead the Procure to Pay activities in relation to suppliers: invoice processing, payments to suppliers, expense management, vendor help desk and intercompany netting
  • Analyze P2P metrics and make process improvement recommendations
  • Act as a change agent and design and implement best in class standard processes together with the Service Provider
  • Act as a key point of contact and communicate pro-actively with the in-scope Business Units and Finance Leaders about P2P matters.
  • Manage exceptions and escalate appropriate issues or risks
  • Know the payment standards and processes.
  • Lead month-end closing for North America

As the primary NAM payment senior-level analyst, the role will also be focused on troubleshooting daily payment issues, as well as various compliance and auditing assurance and support, training support to the third-party shared services team and CHEP BU stakeholders, supplier enablement, vendor balance, COUPA processing, and other senior analyst-level P2P responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years Accounts Payable analyst or similar role
  • Expertise in P2P Tools (Coupa, Basware, Concur)
  • Working knowledge of general accounting principles and concepts
  • Core Procure to pay process knowledge
  • Related Policies & Compliance
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Intermediate Excel Skills (VLook-up, Pivot Table Analysis)
  • SAP Procure to Pay expertise
  • Internal controls
  • Experience in working with third party service providers
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Base pay range is $79,200 - 108,900 annually

Salary ranges provided take into account a wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications, geographic differentials and other business and organizational needs. Therefore, actual amounts offered may be higher or lower than the range provided. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be part of a total offering beyond medical & retirement benefits and may include other monetary incentives or business benefits.

Location: Hybrid at the following CHEP office locations: Mississauga, Canada, Alpharetta, GA - USA, or Orlando, FL - USA

Language Requirements: English fluency is required; conversational French is desirable.
