The Position

We are the People Insights & Technology Chapter, which is part of our global People & Culture (P&C) organization.  We are an agile organization, and our resources, capabilities, and knowledge are distributed across a worldwide integrated network of P&C experts.  Customer-centricity is a central principle for P&C, and we pride ourselves on giving our people the opportunity to leverage our strong business knowledge while building strong and trusting relationships. The Opportunity

You, as the Workday Product Manager, translate customer and business needs into a large enterprise Product solution.  Create the vision and align stakeholders around the vision for the product.  Evangelize the shared vision across larger teams to empower independent decision making for specific product teams. Define a compelling vision for the product that reflects customer and business needs in line with the strategic themes for P&C Technology and aligns stakeholders around the vision for the product.  

You will collect structured feedback in collaboration with Product Owners and the Adoption & Change Manager to continuously improve product quality. 

  • Possesses a solid understanding of business operations and adeptly contextualizes P&C Tech adoption data into the broader business context.

  • Drives discussions with Business Stakeholders and prioritizes product features considering specific business and employee needs, offering valuable perspectives on how these features contribute to the larger strategic objectives of P&C and deeply understands and represents customer needs and wants, using these insights to inform the vision and roadmap.

  • Defines a compelling product vision and roadmap for the overall Product scope that aligns with the overall P&C Technology Portfolio strategy and also anticipates future needs/trends and creates a shared vision across larger teams to empower independent decision making.

  • Develops the core positioning and messaging for the product and prioritizes product features and capabilities across the solution. Final decision maker when respective Product Owners can not align on priority, if needed.

  • Deeply understands the P&C processes and data for their product scope and has a good understanding of the interconnectivity with the rest of the Technology landscape and cultivates strong partnerships with key P&C stakeholders and collaborates with internal experts, such as Product Owners, Business Analysts and architects, to enable seamless execution of the product roadmap with deep understanding of the product’s capabilities and features as well other competitive solutions 

  • Excels at coaching and developing squad members, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Has a deep understanding of the dynamics of AOP members and is able to leverage individual strengths to maximize the work stream delivery and fosters a self-organizing work stream culture, enabling work stream members maximizing their contributions towards the AoP and Work Stream visions. Cocreates and communicates the portfolio decisions. Identifies and anticipates potential resistance to agreed decisions, and proactively addresses it.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in a related field such as computer science, business, or related field with 10+ experience operating in a large corporate environment with strong business acumen to understand corporate business levers and the need for pragmatism

  • Experience with Workday (preferred) or other HR systems(SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, ServiceNow, etc.) and large scale implementations with familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

  • Polished communicator with the ability to evangelize technology solutions to a wide range of stakeholders through visualization and storytelling and valued leader, team member and effective collaborator within cross-functional squads

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and react quickly and strategically to changing priorities with technical Product and/or Project Management experience

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus) with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions
