The Organizational Design Specialist plays a critical role in shaping organizational structures that enable the organization to deliver on its strategic objectives and operate effectively at scale. This role ensures that roles, reporting relationships, and workforce capabilities are intentionally designed to support business priorities, sound decision‑making, and the effective deployment of talent.
Through analysis of current organizational structures and the development of practical, data‑driven design recommendations, the Organizational Design Specialist provides leaders with actionable insights to support organizational change, workforce planning, and talent deployment decisions. The role contributes directly to improved operational effectiveness, role clarity, and the organization’s ability to adapt to evolving business needs.

What You'll Be Doing
Define, maintain, and govern job architecture and organizational design principles, including role scope, accountability, spans of control, layering, and reporting relationships, ensuring consistency and scalability across the organization
Review and validate new and revised role designs to ensure appropriate scope, differentiation, and alignment with organizational standards prior to job evaluation
Partner with Compensation to provide clear, high‑quality inputs that support consistent and defensible job grading and valuation outcomes
Analyze organizational structures to identify inefficiencies, duplication, or misalignment, and recommend design changes that improve clarity, effectiveness, and scalability
Collaborate with Compensation, Talent, Learning, and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment between organizational design, compensation frameworks, succession planning, and talent development priorities
Provide advisory support and guidance to people leaders and HR partners on role design and organizational structure decisions
Develop and maintain organizational design guidelines, tools, and documentation to support consistent application of standards
Support organizational design activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and integrations by providing role and structural analysis to enable effective integration
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in organizational design, job architecture, workforce planning, or related HR disciplines, with the ability to operate independently at a fully competent level
Strong understanding of organizational design principles, including role clarity, spans of control, layering, reporting relationships, and structural effectiveness
Proven ability to analyze and evaluate job design and organizational structures, identifying misalignment, duplication, inefficiencies, or role creep
Solid knowledge of job architecture concepts and how role design supports consistent job evaluation and compensation outcomes
Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex qualitative and quantitative information into clear, practical recommendations
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills to support organizational reviews, role inventories, and structural analysis
Strong judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity while balancing business needs, internal equity, scalability, and downstream impacts
Effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain organizational design concepts clearly to HR partners and business leaders
Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering across Compensation, Talent, Learning, and HR Business Partners

The annual pay range for this role is $126,500 – $143,000 inclusive of base salary and target incentive pay. Your salary will be tailored to reflect the experience you bring and the impact you’re ready to have on this role.
