Job Description:

Hitachi Rail Canada STS  is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Operations & Readiness Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Toronto, Ontario. 

 

Accountabilities 
   Ensure that the appropriate operational readiness activities are captured within the project mobilisation plan. 

• Ensure the definition of the mobilisation & ramp up strategy in order to meet the revenue service date. 

• Ensure that all operational readiness activities are undertaken in accordance with the prescribed mobilsation and readiness project 

plan. 

• Ensure the selection and appointment of the operational staff within a project 

• Ensure that standards of staff competency related to safety critical operational activities are maintained throughout the duration of the 

Project\ 

• Ensure that station and train environment and service of Metro System will be secure and safe 

 

Required Skills/ Knowledge 
   Over 3 years of Experience in the field 

   Experience with Budgeting & Cost Estimation in a Railway Equipment environment 

   knowledge of ERP (ie SAP), CRM (ie MANTIS) & configuration management tools 

   Knowledge of tendering process, organizational effectiveness, planning, railway safety rules & regulations 

 

Education / Qualifications 

   Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Economics  

Languages 

English Proficiency
