Do you have a passion for customers, their occasions and beverage alcohol? In this LCBO store leadership role, and under the general supervision of the Store Manager, you’ll build a robust store team. Every day you’ll drive store results and champion responsible retailing.

The Role 

  • To deliver remarkable experiences as the trusted destination for the world’s wines, beers and spirits. 

  • You will drive the customer experience in store by developing a customer-first team mentality in all aspects of the store’s operation and program execution. 

  • Your skills span customer service, inventory management, financial management, merchandising, retail sales and human resources.

  • Strong leadership, team-building, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. 

  • Additional areas for assessment will include an understanding of and exposure to social responsibility issues, facilities management, resource protection, health & safety, WSIB, workplace accommodation, environmental issues and workplace diversity. 

  • The successful candidate must possess a strong solid understanding of the internet/intranet and computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, web-based ordering and Workforce Management.

  • You are a team builder and a committed mentor and coach. 

  • As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store.

  • Flexible Schedule Required: This position requires someone who can be available to work a flexible schedule to support our retail operations. This includes being scheduled for evening and weekend shifts.  

About You! 

  • You bring a customer-centric attitude. You enjoy spending time on the store floor and encourage giving back in support of the community for the greater good. 

  • You enjoy providing feedback, empowering people, and mentoring in the moment. You are capable of magnificent execution in your store. 

  • You know your store numbers. You forecast and analyze sales and expenses. You build a plan to engage the team and grow the business. 

  • You have 5 years or more of retail experience in progressive roles such as Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Trainer, Departmental Manager, or District Manager. You are known for your leadership, business savvy, relationships, and self-management. Experience leading unionized employees is an asset. 

  • High school graduate or bring the equivalent experience. 

  • A college diploma, certificate or university degree in business or retail management is a bonus.
