Operational Engineer

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with Server and Cloud based technical architectures, solution migration strategies, and assist engineering on application optimizations.
• Contribute to the design and deployment of infrastructure on Server and Cloud through manual, automation tooling and processes for operations.
• Upgrade infrastructure, software, and technologies to the latest currency
• Previous exposure to technical domain and perform fixing to resolve technical inquiries
• Be a great teammate who communicates effectively and takes initiative to collaborate with individuals from various departments.
• Take ownership of environment management tasks and be accountable and see the same through to completion.
• Participate in project planning meetings to share your knowledge of system options, risk, impact, and benefits.
• Be part of a leading team that paves the path for others through investigations and Proof of Technologies around tools, code management, reporting, server and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Participate in discussions and contribute to the infrastructure practices and conventions across the company.

Required Qualifications: 

• 3+ years operational experience in Server support, upgrades configurations, and implementations
• Customer service approach
• Networking knowledge
• Knowledge of server platforms (Windows, Linux, AIX)
• Familiarity with database technologies in cloud such as (MSSQL, Oracle, OpenEdge)

Preferred Qualifications: 

• IT operations experience (ITIL, ITSM)
• Development experience
• Familiarity in DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure and AKS or other similar cloud technologies. 
• Familiarity with standard IT security practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Jenkins, AKS, Docker, Kubernetes, PowerShell
