We are looking for English/Language Teachers with experience in the Ontario Curriculum to support the development of high-quality content for our Ontario English/Language offering for Grades 6-9. 

In this contract-based role, you will thoroughly check and provide feedback on  lessons and sets of closed questions written by other contractors that address parts of Strand C&D of the curriculum. 

This opportunity might suit you if: 

  • You have at least 1 year of experience teaching the new Ontario English/Language Curriculum for Grades 6 to 9, as well as an additional 1-4 years of experience teaching either C and D within Grades 6 to 9 as a whole
  • You are familiar with the Right to Read Initiative (preferred, but not required)
  • You are familiar with Culturally Relevant and Responsive Pedagogy (CRRP)
  • You are familiar with cross-curricular and subject-specific literacy skills
  • You are experienced in and enjoy making, teaching resources
  • You are tech-savvy and enjoy working with technology
  • You have excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently

The project will commence in mid-January 2026 and continue until late June 2026. We require a commitment of approximately 10 - 15 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule. Employment will be contract-based and payment will be based on deliverable items.
