Senior/Staff/Principal Linux Software Development Engineer with a focus on management and control plane in enterprise networks and cloud. 

Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain Linux-based software and applications, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, and AI data scientists, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaboration: Engage with open-source communities to stay current with Linux ecosystem advancements.
  • Debugging & Optimization: Improve performance and resolve software defects through debugging and optimization.
  • Automation: Develop scripts and tools to streamline development and testing processes.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API documentation, and code comments.

Requirements:

  • Linux & Networking: Strong knowledge of Linux subsystems and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, IPsec, etc.).
  • Security Protocols: Familiarity with security protocols such as SSH, IPsec, TLS, etc. and the ability to apply security standards to products.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Golang, or Shell scripting.
  • Debugging Tools: Hands-on experience with debugging and profiling tools.
  • Open-Source Practices: Familiarity with open-source development practices and community collaboration.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • RESTful APIs: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs.
  • Experience: 5 to 15+ years as a Linux Developer, Kernel Engineer, or Software Engineer.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Applications Experience: Experience with software applications in networking, robotics, autonomous vehicles, or industrial automation.
  • Networking Management: Familiarity with networking management and configuration frameworks and protocols.
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud-native technologies and architectures.
  • Redis: Experience with Redis cache.
  • Wireless Protocols: Knowledge of network and wireless protocols (WIFI/802.11, Ethernet, Bluetooth).
  • AI/ML: Knowledge of AI/ML data pipelines and model deployment, with a focus on edge computing and local inference.
