Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will be responsible for design and implementation oversight of internal and perimeter networks to ensure Moneris has scalable, secure, and compliant network infrastructure that supports its business. You will also collaborate with Network Operations, Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Engineering and Operations, Information Security, Development, and teams to execute on projects.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to Manager, Cloud Engineering and Operations

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  •  You will lead projects, implementation, installation and configuration of Infrastructure Systems in an automated way, as applicable (Terraform and Ansible)

  • Help create Infrastructure Service offerings by automating and documenting the service.

  • Engineer, design, install, automate, configure, virtual and cloud environments, infrastructure applications, and storage

  • Participate and/or lead projects with development, applications, and operations teams to engineer, deploy, and support technical solutions

  • Be a Network subject matter expert to important Business and Technology stakeholders

  • Provide support for escalated, complex incidents and problems from operations and application teams that impact Moneris and our merchants’ critical workflows

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in a senior technical or Engineering position

  • Experience developing and maintaining network architectures, technical/solution designs and standards

  • In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols (i/e: BGP, EIGRP, OSFP, MPLS), SD-WAN/SASE, firewall and network access management solutions

  • Practical experience implementing and managing Cisco Nexus, F5 BIG-IP/WAF, and Palo Alto Network Firewalls-based solutions

  • Experience with designing, implementing, and managing Software-defined Networking including Cisco ACI, Nutanix AHV/Open vSwitch

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Express Route, Azure VNet, Azure Application and Network security groups.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams using Agile methodology, including SCRUM and KANBAN

  • Deliver capabilities using practices such as Infrastructure as Code (mostly Terraform and Ansible)

  • Promote automation and infrastructure best practices

  • Proficiency in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business (considered an asset)
