Role Overview:
As a Cloud Software Engineer you will plan, designs, develop, test and troubleshoots cloud based applications on proprietary products and platforms, works across the complete cloud stack i.e. Software as a Service (SaaS), and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) and/or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) leveraging suites like Salesforce.com cloud platform, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Azure, Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services/EC 2.
Interacts with product managers and other key stakeholders to drive an optimized solution within known constraints.
The job also requires in-depth understanding of cloud storage services such as EBS, Amazon S3, EFS etc.
Involves integration of cloud applications and require knowledge of APIs, pre-scripting, post-scripting and integration testing.
This is a remote position; however you may be required to be onsite at our Bangalore office on as-needed basis.
About the role:
- Implement, test, and ship cloud hosted microservices and API platforms at scale to support the needs of the McAfee suite of product platforms and capabilities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate with other cloud services, including external third-party services.
- Debugging skills to troubleshoot complex problems in production environments.
- Develop Unit, functional test cases and meet performance SLA requirements and security requirements.
- Work with DevOps to build, deploy Cloud services.
- Reliable and open-minded resource with strong team collaboration skills.
About you:
- 5+ years of strong, meaningful individual contributor experience as a Cloud backend software engineer is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of at least one backend programming language .Net / Golang.
- Exposure to the architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web applications.
- Experience working with cloud technologies (AWS).
- Experience with large scale database - PostgreSQL , Redis.
- Experience with database platforms and technologies (PostGreSQL preferably).
- Experience with messaging and caching platforms and technologies (Kafka, Redis preferred).
