What you will do

  • Work with branches across Canada to support customer-focused initiatives in two markets: Municipal Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants and designated special SIG projects
  • Prepare shop drawings for approval based on engineered specification
  • Support project execution
  • Assist the estimation team during tenders
  • Support self-performing general contractors and sub-mechanical contractors
  • Utilize Wolseley Express for municipal orders and inquiries
  • Follow up on and execute municipal tenders through various portals (Jaeger, ARIBA, Bids & Tenders)
  • Support in-plant operations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Ensure knowledge of OPSD standards and approved municipal products
  • Assist with municipal stores & operations (e.g., swabbing, repairs, road maintenance)
  • Support conveyance systems, metering sales, and order entry
  • Use ACCEO for quotations and AS400 for tracking and order management
  • Collaborate with key suppliers and Wolseley divisions to provide integrated solutions
  • Work closely with Project/Quotations Manager and OSRs for pricing, follow-ups, and order execution
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-ups
  • Contribute to the development of procedures to benchmark this new role
  • Attend tradeshows to support the municipal support team

What you will bring

  • Strong attention to detail with a customer- and process-focused mindset
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with management to grow the specialized market
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to seek assistance when needed
  • Experience with construction drawings and engineered specifications (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized while managing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe)
  • Willingness to become a subject matter expert in municipal support
  • Ability to travel to tradeshows as required
