This role represents AIG from a local level on all aspects of in-country insurance regulations and market practices applied to Multinational Programs. The position functions as the internal facing regulatory Subject Matter Expert and manages servicing for local policies involving higher complexities.
How you will create an Impact
Manage service for local policies with higher degree of complexity, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements/Key Performance Indicators. Manage all aspects of service delivery for inbound multinational accounts including processing and portfolio management.
Train and manage support team (Issuing Office (IO) Multinational Coordinator & Issuing Office Multinational Administrator) on outsourced activities related servicing of clients with higher degree of complexity.
Ensure right level of IO fees received based on work performed in country in relation to assigned accounts.
Participate in cross marketing efforts to sell non-Controlled Master Program (CMP) products at a local level.
Proactively provide intelligence/information to Producing offices with respect to local market changes and trends, legislative, statutory changes and latest advisory rates for all lines of insurance dealt with in country.
Subject matter expert that liaises with Producing Office underwriter and engages with local Product and/or Legal teams in order to ensure locally compliant policies that reflect local underwriting appetite.
Monitor and escalate service issues / Be a team resource for the resolution of escalated issues.
Assist the Producing Office with local policy deal architecture for Complex Risk Transfer/ non-conventional insurance programs.
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with assigned clients and brokers to ensure that AIG locally meets their needs in a cost-effective way. More generally, acts as an Account Manager for local brokers to help build an effective long-term partnership in conjunction with PO that strengthens AIG’s position.
Works with the Producing Office Multinational Executive or Coordinator to ensure that service delivery is in line with client’s needs.
Manage the local servicing relationship for assigned accounts with Program participants (Producing Office, Broker/Client, RISO, Shared Services, Finance, Claims) ensuring timely and quality service.
Plan/Attend regular or adhoc Client/Broker meetings on an account by account basis in conjunction with the PO or local Distribution team.
Perform renewal planning to agreed strategies, by assigned account and by line, to ensure service standards are achieved.
Work with MN Manager and Producing offices to identify the servicing needs for new accounts once bound and recommend steps to be put in place to meet those servicing needs.
Work with management to identify and implement ways to improve work processes to enhance quality, speed and efficiency around servicing. Secure management support for all solutions offered.
Contribute to the training and development of Issuing Office and Shared Services staff to improve technical competence, systems usage and service delivery.
Provide input and guidance to new system developments / upgrades to ensure that IT systems adequately support the needs of Multinational business.
Provide legal and market practice advice to Producing Offices - Be the “in country” Knowledge Champion working with all functions in country, ensuring AIG’s Knowledge database is up to date. Effectively communicate country specific issues through accurate alerts, bulletins and know your network series.
Ability to promote & articulate Multinational Value Proposition and network externally.
Act as trouble shooter for complex accounts.
What you’ll need to Succeed:
Minimum 5 years insurance experience, preferably client servicing (broker or company)
Experience handling large captive programs and Multinational corporations
Experience in non-conventional insurance programs / captive reinsurance
Excellent knowledge of in country commercial insurance products and market practices
Some knowledge of Multinational and non-conventional insurance programs
Process oriented / Strong administration skills
Computer literacy required: IT packages, MS Outlook, Excel, Word
Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work on own initiative/organized
Highly motivated and ability to work autonomously
Good time management skills – ability to handle multiple priorities, organize work and meet deadlines
Ability to clearly articulate ideas and influence outcomes
Ability to identify operational improvements and gain technical knowledge/experience to carry out those improvements
Client focused with significant experience of dealing with senior client personnel / risk managers and client board level representatives as well as senior colleagues, including Executive Management
Ability to motivate others to achieve common goal; proven record of being a team player
