As the Mobile Engineering Manager of the Mobile Retention team, you will be responsible for managing a team of iOS & Android engineers working on the Dropbox apps. You will work within an Engineering, Product, and Design triad to shape the roadmap, set direction, and ensure strong execution. You will play a crucial role in helping the mobile apps to meet the needs of our customers, overseeing critical functionality such as the ability to preview content. As the mobile org is a small and tight community, this role includes outsized impact and an ability to influence the critical Dropbox business.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for critical business metrics, delivering impactful projects on time and measuring their impact
- Navigate complex business landscapes, working with key partners in EPD (Engineering-Product-Design) & Data Science, to find new opportunities to grow the mobile business

Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core and non-core business hours. If a team has an on-call rotation, all engineers on the team are expected to participate in the rotation as part of their employment. Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
- Minimum of 5 year as a software engineer, mobile developer, or equivalent technical experience
- Experience managing mobile teams, with the mobile app development cycle, and with the Google & Apple app stores
- Experience managing engineers of different experience levels, in different countries (and time zones)
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics) or equivalent technical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Swift or Kotlin
Compensation
Canada Pay Range
$184,500—$249,500 CAD
