Position Summary

Working in a specialized Business Intelligence team (BI), the Coordinator, Audience and Analytics is responsible for providing data management and reporting support to Media Experts' internal teams and their clients. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving various data acquisition and management processes, while closely working with Analysts, a senior project manager, and the BI Director.

You will participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle from initial meetings with clients and internal teams to gathering and processing data from different data sources. You will utilize various development and BI tools, including but not limited to Python programming, Microsoft SQL Server stack, Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps & Power Automate), Adverity, and Tableau. You will receive training, guidance, and support from the Analysts, and the rest of the team, who will help you enhance your knowledge, increase experience, and ensure you are successful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain existing applications and processes under the supervision of an Analyst.
  • Support our internal teams with the troubleshooting of dashboard issues/errors.
  • Extract, transform, and load media data from various data sources into MS SQL database.
  • Use knowledge of REST APIs to maintain and troubleshoot existing data extraction processes from various media platforms and automate some of the manual tasks within different internal systems.
  • Work with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and use Tableau to create and/or maintain ETL processes.
  • Use MS SQL commonly used practices and procedures to maintain and modify existing solutions, utilizing Stored Procedures, CTEs, user-defined functions, etc.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements like: automation of manual processes, optimization of data delivery, redesign of infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to complete tasks to spec and on schedule.
  • Be able to understand project requirements and apply them to technical solutions.
  • Use project management tools like SharePoint and Asana to efficiently keep track of tasks, documents and communicate with project stakeholders

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Equivalency of College or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Good understanding of basic programming concepts with experience of coding in Python.
  • SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) and some working familiarity with different databases.
  • Experience with data visualization in dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Domo, etc.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with developers and Business users.
  • Good understanding of Data warehousing concepts like data modeling and ETL development.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills.

 Nice to have:

  • Prior experience of working with media data, business insights, programmatic media, ad serving platforms, media agencies, trading desks is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps and Power Automate).
