As Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals.

This role reports to the Manager Maintenance.

What you will do:   

  • Mechanical Operation & Maintenance – Hands on experience of Operation & Maintenance of mechanical equipment like pumps, gears, conveyors, sifters, dryers, elevators, mills, centrifuges, ID / FD fans and compressors etc., design of Mechanical System, familiarization with maintenance techniques like alignment, balancing & condition monitoring, IMS/ GMP requirements etc.

  • Maintenance Activities – The incumbent will be responsible for effective & timely maintenance of overall mechanical system & allied auxiliaries to assure compliance of all PM & condition-based schedules through SAP, creation & implementation of PM / CM schedules and to introduce an smart maintenance techniques / tool for the optimize utilization of resources. Responsible to evaluate the critical store items to keep the machines in operation, PR generation, evaluation QEMs for selection of material and follow up on deliveries through development of critical machine parts list and regular update the status. He will be responsible tp keep ready standby equipment by all means.

  • Project Execution Activities – Responsible to share new quality ideas, preparation of their feasibility reports, BOQs, follow up for procurement of material and ensure safe execution of capex / MOC projects in stipulated time. Contract management will be mandatory.

  • EHS Responsibilities – Will be responsible for implementation of EHS standards, carrying out risk assessments & ensure safe working environment for subordinates.

  • Cost Reduction Initiatives – Identify all cost reduction opportunities in the area of responsibility and mechanical section to ensure efficient operation. Recommend new equipment, methods and procedures that could considerably reduce labor expenses.

  • People Development – Communicate and build relationships with stakeholders, through a team-based approach, to ensure business needs are met with high quality in a timely and cost-efficient manner. To develop a work environment with Engineering & Services department’s staff that encourages self-motivation and commitment to their jobs. Develop all working staff awareness related to best working practices. Supervision & guidance for technical direction regarding scheduling & maintenance activities. To follow TNA for workers and peers’ development.

  • Compliance of Company Policies – Will be responsible for the compliance of electrical-related legal requirements of the company.

What you will bring:   

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Work experience in Petro-chemical / Fertilizer/ Process / Food industry

  • 4 to 7 years of hands on experience in operations & maintenance of electrical installations
