BAE Systems is seeking a mechanical engineer to support multiple product lines of Support Equipment (SE) including but not limited to: SST, VIPER, BAES, hydro-mechanical and electrical; mainly supporting the F-16 aircraft for worldwide customers. -Create/update historic CAD drawings and models to meet current industry and company design requirement
-Generate and process Change Orders in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
-Generate Technical Data Packages(TDPs) to be delivered to our customers and vendors
-Interpret designs from Electrical Engineers and transform this into a 3D CAD model and related wiring diagram(s)and provide routine status on tasking to the Leads and Program managers
-Communicate with peers (all backgrounds) in a clear and concise manner ("know your audience")
-Research components currently in our products that vendors or industry have recently identified as Obsolete or extremely limited, to identify alternate products or propose an alternate design of alternate product(s) to achieve the same function
-Research federal specifications to ensure designs meet customer requirements
-Understand and help to maintain configuration control to resolve an issue at the current time, versus finding a temporary solution that grows in complexity over time

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 0-2 years engineering experience
- Basic knowledge of CAD Software (Creo preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret 2D drafts (hydro-mechanical and electrical)
