Job Description

  

Design innovative safety systems for aerospace applications with Teledyne Electronic Safety Products! For nearly four decades, we’ve delivered highly reliable solutions for aircrew safety, launch vehicles, and energetic devices. Join our Chatsworth, CA team as a Mechanical Design Engineer and help shape mission-critical products for defense and space programs.

What you’ll do
  • Design and develop components and assemblies using 2D/3D modeling software
  • Manage engineering drawings, changes, and document control processes
  • Support transition from manual document control to PLM system
  • Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to develop robust solutions
  • Prepare tolerance analyses and engineering documentation
  • Work with suppliers to resolve drawing issues and support tooling development
  • Provide sustaining engineering support for legacy products
  • Participate in design reviews and brainstorm sessions
What you need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (required)
  • 3–5 years of mechanical design experience (required)
  • Document control experience (required)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks) (required)
  • Must be a U.S. Person (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees) (required)
  • Experience with DoD design requirements and PLM tools (advantage)

Salary Range:

$90,800.00-$121,100.000

Pay Transparency

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
