- Plans production and service schedules based on customer demand through inventory planning, scheduling production and ERP.
- Reviews production and service schedules and works with team members to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
- Schedule all parts with sufficient lead time to ensure 100% On Time Delivery
- Where Required Issues Supplier releases to Supply Chain via ERP
- Where Required Tracks and Supports Delivery Portion of Supplier Ratings with Purchasing
- Supports Purchasing for Logistics concerns with Supply Chain
- Liase with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Support MDV Service Requirements with respect to planning and shipping
- Identify all service parts at MDV using pictures, cross referencing of customer production & service part numbers and in collaboration with Engineering.
- Establish the location of each part with clear references with ERP
- Determine minimum quantities required based on part history and current releases
- Data analysis and decision making to support material supply at all stages
- Other Tasks:
- Continuously adhere to and apply the Magna Employee's Charter, the Magna Corporate Constitution, and the Magna Operational Principles in all aspects of position and interaction with others.
- Effective use of MDV's Escalation Process.
- Compliance to IATF customer requirements
- Participates in Annual MMOG Certification
- Attends all scheduled meetings and training.
- Understands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position.
- Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties that may be assigned.

Education/Qualifications:
- Certificate in related program from recognized college or university or equivalent experience with previous Material Control experience in a computerized environment.
- 3 to 5 years of industrial experience within Production Planning disciplines.
- Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Inventory Control Practices, Delivery / Routing Systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- APICS Training and/or Certification preferred
