Minute Media is looking for a Marketing Technology Engineer to own the day-to-day technical implementation and operation of our customer data, personalization, messaging, and subscription platforms. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, growth, product, and engineering, and is responsible for translating business and revenue goals into reliable, scalable technical solutions.

The Marketing Technology Engineer will be the primary owner of platforms such as BlueConic (CDP), Sailthru (email & lifecycle marketing), on-site dialogs and paywalls, and Piano (authentication and subscriptions). While supported by an engineering team for larger initiatives, this role independently manages configuration, implementation, and ongoing optimization. This role reports into the R&D organization and partners closely with Engineering, Marketing, Growth, Product, and Data teams.

This is a hands-on technical role but not a software engineering position.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Own the implementation, configuration, and ongoing operation of marketing and subscription technology platforms (CDP, ESP, paywalls, authentication).
  • Build and maintain on-site experiences including dialogs, offers, personalization rules, and paywalls.
  • Implement and update email templates, lifecycle campaigns, and audience segmentation.
  • Use HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to customize templates, experiences, and client-side integrations.
  • Partner with Engineering on more complex integrations, data flows, and platform changes.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Growth, Product, and Data teams to support experiments, launches, and optimizations.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the martech stack and act as the first line of ownership.
  • Maintain documentation and best practices for implemented systems.

What You Have

  • 3+ years experience in a Marketing Technology, MarTech Engineering, Growth Engineering, or similar technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing or personalization platforms (e.g., CDPs, ESPs, paywall, or experimentation tools).
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with basic JavaScript skills (DOM manipulation, events, debugging).
  • Experience implementing or supporting on-site personalization, dialogs, paywalls, or subscription flows.
  • Comfort working with third-party vendor tools, documentation, and APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience with BlueConic, Sailthru, Piano, or similar platforms
  • Background in media, publishing, subscriptions, or e-commerce
  • Familiarity with analytics, experimentation, or customer journey tools
  • Experience working with distributed or remote engineering teams

What You’ll Get

  • Work on meaningful, high-impact projects shaping the future of digital publishing
  • Join a global, remote team with flexibility and autonomy
  • Grow your career with quarterly skill-based workshops and learning opportunities
  • Comprehensive private health coverage, including mental health, dental, and vision
  • Fun company events and quarterly DEI-focused initiatives
  • Opportunities to give back through in-person and remote community programs

Where You'll Be

  • This is a remote position.

The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000–$100,000 CAD. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location. The benefits available for this position include unlimited vacation policy, paid holidays, 100% employer paid health insurance from Day 1, and opportunities for ongoing growth and development.

Not sure that you're 100% qualified but are up for the challenge? We want you to apply!
