This role is part of the National Business Development Support team in Toronto or Montreal.
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will help support the execution of various initiatives within our team of strategists. You will be responsible for organizing and managing events, leading or supporting webcast production, managing Continuing Education (CE) credits, and specialize in brand guidelines and graphic design. You are also eager to learn the life and health insurance industry and need for B2B focused marketing. You will interact with internal and external stakeholders working in other fields, as a result; Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

Have an affinity for unique and modern B2B marketing strategies to break the barriers of what is being done in the industry.

Protect the Desjardins brand

Familiarize yourself with internal approval guidelines: compliance, legal, brand and public relations

Support and/or lead specialized development projects, initiatives and activities that impact Life & Health Insurance business development and Product and Advance Case.

Support partners and team members to help them position, plan, develop, execute, and monitor strategic marketing projects and initiatives

Provide technical support for projects, complex operational issues, event logistics, and the production of advertising and promotional materials and technical estimates. Carry out specialized technical studies, research, and analysis.

Serve as a resource person for the submission of solutions and action plans.

What you bring to the table

College diploma in a related field

A minimum of three years of relevant experience

Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients

Intermediate knowledge of Compliance branding, PR, Legal

Intermediate knowledge of Marketing strategies

Intermediate knowledge of Adobe suite of tools including Photoshop, InDesign and creation of graphics and images

Intermediate knowledge of Business Development asset OAW/Quebec (wholesaling, life &health product)

Intermediate knowledge of copyrighting

Available for travel occasionally 10-20% in Ontario and Quebec
