Job Description: The Marketing Specialist’s mission is to support the execution of our demand generation engine, focusing primarily on operationalizing campaigns that drive Marketing Qualified Leads and sales pipeline. This is an execution-focused role responsible for the tactical delivery of content, digital and in-person events, and sales enablement assets. The key to success is a strong focus on project management, diligent data hygiene, accurate campaign reporting, and rapid technical learning. The ideal candidate is a self-starter eager to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into market value and develop expertise in B2B growth marketing. This role will report to the Director of Growth Marketing.

About Us: Kobalt.io is a global, growth-stage, market-leading services firm focused on solving cybersecurity for all small to mid-sized enterprises with clients in nearly every segment from technology and B2B SaaS to health-tech, fintech, AI, and cleantech.  At Kobalt.io, we believe EVERYONE deserves great cybersecurity. Small businesses drive innovation and growth. Kobalt.io protects and enables that growth with trusted, risk-based cybersecurity programs, delivering maximum value to ensure these businesses are secure today and prepared for tomorrow. This is reflected in everything we do from the programs we build, to the partnerships we have developed with companies such as Vanta, Prescient, RBC and Sumo Logic. If you are ready for a new challenge and want to join a growing team, this is your opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution: Manage the end-to-day logistics of lead generation campaigns, including email nurturing sequences, webinar coordination, and social media marketing
  • Sales Enablement: Act as the bridge between Marketing and Sales by ensuring the sales team is equipped with up-to-date collateral, case studies, and pitch decks that address current cyber threats
  • Content Operations: Support the editorial calendar by proofreading technical content, formatting blog posts in the CMS, and ensuring consistent brand voice across channels
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain CRM hygiene (list segmentation and lead scoring) and assist in compiling monthly performance reports on MQLs, engagement rates, and ROI.
  • Event Logistics: Coordinate the tactical execution of industry trade shows and digital events, ensuring all deliverables—from booth graphics to follow-up emails—are executed on time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in B2B marketing
  • A genuine interest in technology and cybersecurity; you aren’t afraid to learn what "Zero Trust" or "Endpoint Protection" means
  • Hands-on familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRMs (e.g., HubSpot, Wordpress)
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • An "execution-first" mindset: you take ownership of small details to ensure the big picture succeeds
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Benefits & Perks

  • Comprehensive health and dental insurance
  • RRSP matching
  • Remote work with flexible hours
  • Professional development opportunities
  • BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) allowance
