The Marketing Planning Specialist will play a key role in supporting the integrated planning process across AIR MILES’ broader marketing organization. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, Integrated Planning, this role helps ensure that all Brand, Collector Engagement, and Partner Marketing initiatives ladder up cohesively to a unified, member‑first marketing strategy. This role enables data‑driven decision‑making, improves member experience, and increases operational efficiency by driving cross‑functional visibility, clarity, and marketing synchronicity.
The Specialist will support the development and execution of annual and quarterly planning processes, contribute to the creation of foundational planning frameworks, and help ensure that teams are working toward shared goals as one cohesive marketing unit throughout the year. The ideal candidate is a process‑driven planner, strong communicator, analytical thinker, and someone who thrives in highly collaborative, cross‑functional environments.
Core responsibilities include:
Strategic Planning & Playbook Development
Support the development of our Annual Marketing Strategy that informs our year-round marketing approach
Collaborate in the build and facilitation of annual and quarterly planning sessions, ensuring alignment across Brand, Collector Engagement, and Partner Marketing
Marketing Prioritization & Calendar Management
Support the creation and ongoing management of the Marketing Program Calendar, ensuring activities align with upfront strategic priorities and planned objectives
Evaluate and prioritize all in-market campaigns to ensure alignment to strategic priorities across our owned channels
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment & Governance
Support the preparation and facilitation of Marketing Roadmap sessions, driving cross-functional visibility and comprehension into marketing plans
Identify opportunities to streamline communication, improve collaboration, and strengthen cohesion across marketing efforts to ensure we show up as one integrated team

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in marketing, marketing communications, integrated marketing, or related fields
Experience supporting cross-functional working sessions or planning meetings.
Strong understanding of core marketing fundamentals, including campaign planning, channel execution, and performance measurement.
Familiarity with integrated, multi-channel marketing and the ability to understand how campaigns come to life across paid, owned, and earned channels
Experience contributing to marketing planning cycles (annual, quarterly, monthly)
Ability to interpret marketing data, member/consumer insights, and business priorities to inform planning decisions
Strong analytical skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
Process-driven mindset with a passion for bringing order and clarity to dynamic environments

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents AIR MILES’ expected target for the first year in this position.
AIR MILES’ total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
