We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to support the BMO Insurance life and annuity business. This individual will be responsible for creating insightful content and campaigns geared towards developing business in the Managing General Agency (MGA) distribution channel.

The successful candidate will join a team of marketing professionals tasked with bringing new content to life in a way that is consistent with BMO Insurance brand standards and strategic objectives. The goal of this work is to develop BMO Insurance’s brand presence and to articulate our value in a crowded marketplace. This role will frequently involve cross-functional collaboration with other departments including Product and Sales, and a successful candidate will have a proven history of collaboration and idea generation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing content to support product launches and other campaigns in partnership with business subject matter experts.
  • Bringing ideas and recommendations forward to drive results and improve marketing team performance.
  • Identifying emerging issues and trends and establishing priorities to inform and improve decision-making.
  • Supporting the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting independent research and analysis of the insurance marketing landscape to improve focus.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with peers and key vendor partners and service providers.
  • Monitoring marketing performance, reporting and adjusting based on experience.
  • Bringing a technology lens to our marketing efforts, making recommendations for the incorporation of new tools and technology to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Meeting the short-term needs of the business while continuously looking ahead and considering how priorities should evolve over time.
  • Rising to the occasion to take on broader work or accountabilities as needed.

Your qualifications and skills will include:

  • 5+ years of experience in Canadian life and health insurance marketing in the Managing General Agency (MGA) distribution channel.
  • A post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant field of study.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Canadian life and health insurance products.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Bilingualism would be considered a strong asset.

Salary:

$68,000.00 - $126,000.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
