Position Overview
Hive Retail Solutions is seeking a highly organized, creative, and proactive Marketing Coordinator to support the execution of national brand and retail marketing initiatives across Canada. This role will work closely with the General Manager, Brand Managers, Operations, and Business Development teams to help translate strategy into execution through the coordination of campaigns, product launches, retailer programs, presentations, and marketing assets.
The Marketing Coordinator plays a key support role in ensuring projects move efficiently from concept through execution while maintaining brand integrity, operational excellence, and strong client service standards. This position is ideal for a motivated marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency and retail environment and enjoys balancing creativity, project coordination, relationship management, and operational detail.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Client Support
Deliver against divisional business objectives established at the beginning of each fiscal year.
Support client growth strategies contributing to increased agency performance ratings and incremental revenue growth.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships while consistently reinforcing Hive Retail Solutions’ core values and service standards.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of strategic presentations, proposals, reviews, and marketing recommendations for clients and retail partners.
Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing client accounts and support the development of expansion initiatives.
Serve as day-to-day support for the General Manager, Brand Managers, and Business Development teams.
Marketing Coordination & Brand Execution
Coordinate execution of annual brand plans, promotional calendars, seasonal launches, and retailer marketing initiatives.
Develop and coordinate marketing collateral including:
sell sheets,
retailer presentations,
launch decks,
review presentations,
digital assets,
social media content,
and promotional materials.
Maintain brand standards and ensure consistency in messaging, tone, visual identity, and positioning across all customer-facing materials.
Coordinate production of packaging, print collateral, point-of-purchase materials, digital advertising, email campaigns, and social media content where required.
Manage proofing cycles and approval processes across internal teams, retailers, licensors, vendors, and clients.
Assist with retailer-specific marketing initiatives including:
planograms,
end-cap programs,
in-store displays,
promotional activations,
and product launches.
Project Management & Operations
Maintain project trackers, timelines, status reports, calendars, and stakeholder communications to ensure projects remain on schedule.
Coordinate sample requests, mock-ups, presentation materials, and trade show assets.
Own and maintain the company’s digital asset library including product photography, logos, approved creative files, and marketing resources.
Liaise with creative agencies, freelance designers, photographers, printers, copywriters, and other vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Track marketing budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments in partnership with the Finance team.
Assist with administrative tasks including:
reporting,
budgeting,
template creation,
documentation,
and post-launch reporting.
Coordinate collection and organization of competitive intelligence, market insights, pricing trends, and retail observations.
Events & Trade Shows
Assist in planning and execution of trade shows, retailer events, launches, and activations.
Coordinate booth logistics, pre-show planning, outreach, and on-site event execution.
Support line reviews and retailer meetings through preparation of materials, samples, agendas, and presentation assets.
Attend events and activations onsite as required.
Quality Control & Communication
Ensure all project materials meet client standards, internal quality expectations, and approval requirements.
Proofread English and French materials where applicable.
Monitor receipt and quality of print and production samples.
Maintain strong internal communication and collaboration across all departments and stakeholders.
Professional Skills & Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
Up to three (3) years of marketing, coordination, agency, retail, or brand support experience preferred.
Strong interest in marketing, retail activation, branding, and agency environments.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable preparing presentations, reports, briefs, and marketing materials.
Proficiency with:
Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint and Excel),
project management platforms such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or Trello, and digital collaboration tools.
Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and quality-control abilities.
Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, product, finance, and external vendors.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
