Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of the marketing plans in the Toronto stores, Yorkville, Eaton Centre, Sherway Gardens and Don Mills. Not limited to events, education, community relations, and graphics.  Reports directly to the Marketing Operations Manager.

  • Working with Marketing Operations Manager to ensure the defined strategies and initiatives are correctly executed within the Toronto stores according to the agreed upon timelines, budgets and goals
  • Ensures in-store communication is up to standard and follows the brand guidelines
  • Utilizes the tools and systems provided to support signage production as needed and oversees in-store installations (signage, visual merchandising, etc.)
  • Supports Digital Communications Lead to produce store-related social media content when needed, from copy to images (photoshoot support)
  • Works with Digital Communications Lead to ensure marketing and events initiatives are properly promoted by providing needed details and content
  • Collaborate to manage relationships with celebrity chefs, business partners, producers, and local organizations
  • Supports administrative tasks such as regularly compiling and tracking data on marketing initiatives and activations
  • Works with the Events & Education and store teams to plan and execute in-store and off-site public events
  • Support Events & Education team with execution of La Scuola consumer programming as needed.
  • Coordinates with in-store departments to organize demos with producers
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Eventbrite, OpenTable and Funnel platform is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of and contacts in the Toronto food industry is considered an asset

Job Reqirements

  • Availability to work on multiple sites with a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to travel between Toronto locations – Yorkville, Eaton Centre, Sherway Gardens and Don Mills

Compensation

  • Compensation for this role is CAD $55,000.00-$60,000.00 annually
