Job Summary

 

The Marketing Communications Lead will be instrumental in developing B2B marketing communications (marcom) initiatives to enhance McKesson Canada’s presence as a trusted leader in the pharmaceutical distribution and retail banner pharmacy industry. As a senior individual contributor within the Customer Communications and Events team, you will work to strengthen customer engagement, and drive business growth.

The successful candidate for this role will have a strong customer-centric focus, thrive in hands-on role, requiring both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution, and be a key contributor to a team of change catalysts and communicators.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Champion the McKesson Canada brand across all marcom initiatives, ensuring proper positioning of the Marketing and Commercial Operations (MCO) Business Unit’s service offerings and strategic priorities.
  • Responsible for creating high-quality content and developing integrated marcom plans that align with business objectives. Incorporate key messages, audience segmentation, and channel strategies to ensure effective communication and engagement.
  • Inspire and support creative initiatives to drive engagement and elevate our brand storytelling.
  • Identify retention and loyalty opportunities to amplify the customer experience, strengthening the brand and instilling a culture of trust and transparency.
  • Support account teams by developing various sales enablement material, including collateral development, presentations, etc. Ensure these materials effectively communicate our value proposition and drive meaningful impact.
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and regional (ROC) stakeholders to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the current environment and challenges. Leverage these insights to inform marcom strategies.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on the performance of marcom initiatives. Continually monitor metrics, adjusting messaging to maximize impact and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, communication tools, and best practices, applying insights to enhance the marcom strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and channels to expand customer engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant education in Marketing, Communications or a related Business field.
  • 7+ years of experience developing, implementing, and leading marketing communications strategies.

Key Competencies

  • Proven experience in B2B marketing communications, preferably for a large organization within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Superior communication skills (written, verbal, editing); bilingual in French is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign as well as with platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, and other marketing tools is an asset.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$89,700 - $149,500
