Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

We are currently looking for an experienced Manual Lathe & Mill Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hands-on machining skills who is comfortable working with both one-off components and production runs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathes and vertical milling machines safely and efficiently.
  • Manufacture one-off and production-run parts and components for the mining and manufacturing industries.
  • Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, and specifications provided by customers.
  • Identify and work with various metals and materials, including mild steel, cold-drawn steel, tool steel, quenched and tempered steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and nylon.
  • Measure finished components and verify dimensions and tolerances using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Select, inspect, and verify
  • appropriate cutting tools and consumables for machining operations.
  • Perform routine lubrication, cleaning, and basic maintenance of machining equipment.
  • Maintain quality standards while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience operating manual lathe and milling machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, tooling, and tolerances.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities under pressure.
  • Previous experience in mining, heavy manufacturing, or industrial machining is an asset.
