About the Role

The Managing Director, Canada, is responsible for leading the commercial operations of LS&Co. in the Canadian market, delivering on both long- and short-term strategies to grow the Levi's® brand across all channels—Wholesale, Retail, and Ecommerce. The role is accountable for achieving financial targets, driving profitability, building brand equity, and maximizing shareholder value.

The Managing Director will lead, coach, and empower the Canadian organization, overseeing strategic business and talent initiatives while ensuring strong execution of annual plans. This includes optimizing top and bottom-line performance across all brands, cultivating a high-performing, engaged, and diverse team, and leveraging all available tools and processes to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute market strategies that respond to evolving consumer and channel dynamics across Canada.

  • Integrate omnichannel strategies to drive growth in Wholesale, Retail, and Ecommerce, ensuring superior sales execution, operational efficiency, and consumer experience.

  • Own and deliver P&L performance for Canada, including full accountability for the annual budget. Identify risks and opportunities, optimize profitability, and drive sustainable business growth.

Brand & Channel Management

  • Strengthen brand equity through flawless execution of channel programs and consumer engagement initiatives.

  • Lead the implementation of omnichannel strategies to enhance growth and profitability across all retail formats.

  • Ensure that marketing, merchandising, and product strategies are aligned with brand standards and adapted to local market needs.

  • Oversee competitive pricing and margin management to deliver gross margin targets and maintain brand positioning in the marketplace.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with regional and global functions to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.

  • Foster collaboration across functions, ensuring market priorities are aligned with company objectives and global brand direction.

Talent & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing and inclusive team.

  • Drive employee engagement and accountability, ensuring clear objectives and alignment to deliver revenue, profit, and productivity goals.

  • Champion LS&Co.'s values of integrity, transparency, and community contribution in all aspects of leadership.

Key Metrics

  • Financial: Revenue, EBIT, Gross Margin, Inventory Turns

  • Strategic: Shareholder Value Growth, Profitable Market Share Growth, Brand Equity

  • People: Employee Engagement, Accountability Index

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 15+ years of experience leading commercial teams with full P&L responsibility; depth of experience in the Canadian market preferred.

  • Proven success in defining and executing commercial strategies that deliver consistent growth and profitability.

  • Strong understanding of omnichannel retail and wholesale environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead within a global, matrixed organization, working cross-functionally and across geographies.

  • Experience managing large, diverse teams with a focus on engagement, development, and performance.

  • Approximately 20–30% travel required.

  • Retail apparel experience strongly preferred; experience within the Levi's® or broader fashion industry is an asset.

This is a hybrid position based in our Markham, Ontario office. You will be expected in office 3 days per week, typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
