The Managing Director, Business Management, Treasury & Payment Solutions (TPS) plays a critical leadership role in enabling the Canadian Commercia Bank TPS Sales team to deliver on its growth initiatives through disciplined business development and sales strategies, change initiatives, strong operational governance, and strategic leadership across the Canadian Commercial Bank (CCB).
This role partners closely with senior leaders in TPS Sales, Segment Leadership, Delivery, and Treasury & Payment Solutions' Client Service & Implementation, Digital & Innovation, Product, Risk, and other enterprise partners to ensure the organization is well-positioned to achieve its sales and client experience objectives. This role drives strategic planning, performance management, business governance, and execution of key initiatives that strengthen our salesforce and improve the end-to-end client and employee experience.
- Lead development and execution of the annual business plan for TPS Sales.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable, measurable plans for Sales Leaders and regional teams.
- Provide strategic insight and recommendations to senior leadership on business performance, risks, and emerging opportunities.
- Oversee financial planning, forecasting, scorecards, and performance routines.
- Strengthen sales discipline by enhancing pipeline management, funnel conversion, and coverage models.
- Partner with Sales Leaders to elevate productivity through tools, analytics, compensation structures, and planning routines.
- Ensure alignment between sales strategies and TPS/Product/Service priorities.
- Lead core business management processes including financial controls, operational risk oversight, compliance routines, and audit readiness.
- Ensure adherence to BMO’s governance standards by leading executive reporting, business reviews, and submissions to senior committees.
- Support simplification and scalability of operating processes across Cash Management Sales.
- Represent TPS Sales on enterprise and CB transformation initiatives, ensuring sales requirements and client needs are reflected in design decisions.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives related to pricing, migrations, product launches, systems modernization, and process improvements.
- Drive structured change management to support adoption across regional sales teams.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Business Management team with strong analytical, strategic, and execution capabilities.
- Build a culture that reflects BMO’s values—client-focused, collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Banking, Treasury & Payment Solutions, Sales Leadership, or Business Management.
- Strong knowledge of cash management/TPS solutions and Commercial Banking sales models.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, performance management, and executive reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
- Undergraduate degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
