Job Description:

The Manager, Wealth Planning Office will be responsible for managing the creation, development and maintenance of strategic wealth planning related content such as client-friendly articles, internal education webinars, monthly newsletter, and other specialized content.

  • Manage the strategic wealth planning content program for Wealth Advice.

  • Oversee timelines and processes related to keeping content current and up-to-date.

  • Manage policies and procedures related to creating and maintaining content. 

  • Collaborate with partners to identify business needs for content, including but not limited to Advisory Councils, Advice Marketing, and the Strategic and Editorial Content team. 

  • Recommend and champion strategies to enhance usage of article library. 

  • Identify, recommend, and support the adoption of digital, video, and AI‑enabled tools to enhance content development and delivery. 

  • Act as a steward of technical integrity and risk culture by ensuring all content aligns with enterprise standards, regulatory expectations, and accessibility requirements. 

  • Responsible for prioritizing and drafting new content, revising existing content along set timelines and where necessary based on legislative or other meaningful changes.  

  • Write and create content that addresses complex financial planning topics in a client-friendly manner. 

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business partners, providing reviews and recommendations for wealth planning content. 

  • Work with internal partners to provide expertise and input to maintain integrity and minimize risk.  

  • Manage feedback from internal partners and advisor base to enhance content and create new content to support changing needs over time. 

  • Be proactively involved in spotting opportunities for complimentary businesses and solutions.  

  • Provide expert knowledge in finance, taxation, insurance and estate planning topics in support of various projects and initiatives.  

  • Research complex financial topics and convey findings into content pieces that are readable and conducive to advisor learning, and end-client support.  

  • Carry out independent research on relevant advanced financial, tax and estate planning topics, as it relates to plans under construction. 

  • Keep abreast of wealth planning developments and help increase the overall wealth planning knowledge level of Wealth Advice.  

Qualifications/Skills/Experience: 

  • A minimum 10 years of wealth planning experience gained through client contact or in a technical advisory support role to advisors, coupled with investment industry knowledge. 

  • Fluent in French and English is an asset. 

  • Deep technical knowledge of Canadian tax, estate, and financial planning is required. A CFP designation is required and CPA, CA, CFA, JD/LLB are strongly preferred. 

  • Demonstrate superior writing and communication skills. 

  • Self-starter who is results-oriented and who works effectively and collaboratively in a team-environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and Adobe as well as experience with AI tools.

  • Knowledge of and experience working with advanced financial planning issues.  

  • Must possess a passion for financial, tax and estate planning and have a good understanding of how advisors work with clients. 

  • Demonstrate leadership and support the employee experience. 

  • Highly organized individual, able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.  

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team, as well as individually to complete assigned tasks.
