The GWAM Transformation Office is recruiting a Manager, Transformation, to assist in driving the transformation at Manulife Global Wealth and Asset Management. Our GWAM Transformation Office is accountable for:

  • Prioritizing all discretionary spend across GWAM to ensure it aligns with our strategy

  • Creating transparency, rigor, and accountability around value creation; ensuring delivery and impact is achieved during and after the completion of strategic projects

  • Driving the successful execution of select major projects that span multiple areas of our segment

As Manager, Transformation, you will enable the execution of the Strategy by partnering with business leaders and delivering the Transformation mandate. The Manager partners across business lines and geographies to ensure strategic objectives achieve intended outcomes, through thoughtful analysis and clear presentation of results & recommendations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with team members to drive Manulife GWAM transformation priorities, represent the team on cross-functional work, identify issues, raise as required, and recommend solutions to keep priorities on track.

  • Perform research and analysis and based on the research completed, summarize findings and propose recommendations

  • Help plan and prioritize intake of discretionary spending needs for business that align with key goals and strategies.

  • Assist in developing business cases and preparing materials and managing approval and reviews.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of transformation initiatives. Monitor portfolio progress, financial results, and KPIs and contribute to broader portfolio and analysis reporting

  • Support analysis and development of roadmaps to translate strategy into execution plans

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inspire change and ensure successful implementation of transformation initiatives.

  • Support change management efforts to drive a change mentality in the organization

  • Develop executive presentation materials, and reports, and handle ad hoc requests including crafting analysis, conclusions, and facilitating associated actions

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in business or equivalent

  • 4-8 years of experience in a strategy & transformation function (or equivalent) within large multi-national corporation

  • Prior experience in top tier management consulting, or similar roles preferred

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong presentation and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize work deliverables

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster and maintain relationships in a matrix organization

  • Ability to set, manage and work to the expectations of partners and to work independently as well collaboratively in a dynamic group

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Quebec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,250.00 CAD - $155,250.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
