At Enbridge our Strategy & Fundamentals team drives the development, coordination and communication of Enbridge Gas’s strategy and leads priority strategic pieces of work.

We are seeking a Manager, Strategy & Fundamentals, to drive the development, coordination, and communication of our strategic plan and lead priority initiatives. This role is crucial in building the Gas Distribution & Storage (GDS) strategy, understanding core market fundamentals, and advancing strategic and growth initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the development and coordination of the GDS Strategic Plan, including research, development of thought, and preparation of materials for Senior Leadership and the Board.

    • Develop annual strategic business unit plans, including energy fundamental research, strategic thought development, design and material preparation.

    • Collaborate with Commercial, Business Development (BD), and Finance teams to prepare growth analysis.

  • Understand the impact of energy fundamentals and external environment on our strategy.

    • Work with various teams to understand the latest policies and developments.

    • Track key metrics and signposts tied to our strategies and the low carbon transition.

    • Assess potential risks and opportunities for Enbridge.

  • Develop strategy and fundamental analysis to support NG and low carbon teams.

  • Support board materials, investor relations inquiries, and other industry requests.

  • Conduct fundamental analysis to support Natural Gas BD opportunities including system expansions and asset acquisitions.

  • Supervise the team responsible for strategy and fundamental support.

  • Provide regular insightful reporting of Natural gas/utility market fundamentals to the GDS management team.

  • Design content, strategic themes, and materials for the annual Senior Leaders Forums.

Who You Are:

  • A related university degree(s) and associated certification in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA).

  • 8+ years of directly related experience.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with outstanding interpersonal skills.

  • Subject matter expertise and exceptional analytical, financial, and eye for business.

  • Significant experience of conducting both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • Strong ability to conceptually frame, develop insights, and solve problems.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
