Job Description:

Given that this role is part of Prospr by Sun Life, what is Prospr by Sun Life exactly?

Prospr by Sun Life is an internal startup and a growth channel for Sun Life. Prospr by Sun Life offers personal advice from salaried advisors available by phone for extended hours. These advisors are licensed in both insurance and wealth.

What will you do?

  • Develop and lead strategic initiatives that support the delivery of the Prospr sales strategy

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for business initiatives impacting the Prospr Sales and Service Team, ensuring to identify potential risks and considerations prior to implementation

  • Support the sales organization by developing ongoing training and technical supports for them (in partnership with the sales leadership and SLFD) and being an effective advocate for the Prospr by Sun Life advisor

  • Research complex business issues and provide insights, direction, guidance and recommendations with a focus on the customer and advisor experience and interaction

  • Support the tracking and measurement of all key business activities within any recommended initiatives

What do you need to succeed?

  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy

  • A passion for sales, sales support, and motivating an advisory practice

  • Strategy development and management experience

  • Demonstrated leadership in coordinating the delivery of projects and working within a matrix organization

  • Strong presentation skills - written and oral - with the ability to produce PowerPoint and Excel-based presentations and effectively communicate at all levels within the organization

  • A positive, energetic attitude

  • Proven interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

Advisor Focus: Anticipating advisors' needs and designing, promoting, or supporting the

delivery of products and services that exceed advisor and customer expectations.

Planning and Organizing: Effectively organizing and planning work according to

organizational needs by defining objectives and anticipating needs and priorities.

Innovation: Generating novel and creative solutions to problems that will result in improved

performance, better outcomes, higher productivity, etc.

Teamwork and Collaboration: Effectively working and collaborating with others towards a

common goal.

Championing Change: Taking action to support and implement change initiatives effectively, considering the impact on all stakeholders.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of insurance and wealth business

  • Sales enablement or sales support knowledge; experience working with, motivating and training a sales team

  • Experience building and implementing strategy

  • Knowledge of Salesforce

  • Proficiency in Excel with the ability to build, analyze, and maintain spreadsheets using formulas and pivot tables

  • A university degree.

  • 3-5 years of relevant business experience

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
