Job Description
NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product team is looking for a Manager, Product to lead a team of remote and hybrid Product Owners and Specialists focused on building out cross-functional products within the Marketing Supply Chain and Fulfillment space.
This role is responsible for driving key platform projects from initial intake and thorough definition to successful and timely execution -- furthering the enterprise objective of a unified architecture in close partnership with Engineering, Architecture, Operations and Business Engagement teams. The ideal candidate is a technology savvy individual, passionate about software development and proactive in cultivating a collaborative, transparent and data-driven environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Assess project requests from business units and determine project-level solutions that align with our target architecture, working closely with Business Engagement teams
  • Track platform program risks, help drive mitigations and represent status to broader leadership team
  • Evaluate current state workflows across existing tech stack and develop recommendations aligned to consolidation and modernization goals
  • Define, rollout and enforce best practices in the areas of requirements capture and documentation, story management and end-to-end testing of features in partnership with Product Delivery and SQE
  • Help evolve our platform intake and engagement model, prioritization and planning/road-mapping practices, and communications strategy
  • Foster a metrics-driven environment establishing and driving adoption of standards for measuring product success aligning with PI/quarterly-planning framework
  • In collaboration with leadership, align resources to best support new product deliverables and associated product burndowns
  • Advise and mentor product owners and specialists


Qualifications
Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years product management experience
  • 3+ years experience in a people management role
  • Experience working with products and services in the traditional linear as well as digital scheduling and distribution supply chains
  • Experience in Television, Entertainment or Streaming
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in relevant field: Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management
  • Experience with Atlassian suite (JIRA, JIRA Align, Confluence)

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching viable products
  • Effective written and verbal communication, public speaking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate with teammates and leadership
  • Proven ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing priorities, balancing short term progress with long-term thinking and comfort leveraging data and intuition to make strategic choices in the face of complexity and ambiguity
  • Strategic thinker who can connect business requests to technology solutions and think holistically about the end-to-end experience
  • Experience with Agile methodology, with a focus on leading agile teams and managing cross-team dependencies
  • Experience with product analytics tools such as Pendo


Additional Requirements:

  • Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee's residence.


This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
