Position Summary
The Procurement Manager is responsible for the procurement of goods/services for Corby Spirit & Wine ensuring the best possible price and sustainable quality, minimizing the exposure to potential risk and in compliance with the Global procurement strategy. They will assist in the development, execution, and compliance of the PRNA Procurement Policy and procedures. This includes working cross functionally with Procurement, Brand and Sales to maximize value to PRNA and minimize risk through the selection, evaluation, and on-going management of suppliers. The Procurement Manager will possess a deep understanding of the Pernod Ricard Group Sustainability & Responsibility agenda and is the gatekeeper to ensure S&R is compliant across all sourcing activities in Canada. The role reports to the Sr. Manager, Indirect Procurement and is part of the communication hub between PRNA Procurement and internal Corby stakeholders. Working cross-functionally you will leverage the internal collaboration model, core processes and ways of working as this role leads the development, delivery, execution, and measurement of all POS related programs.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Helps develop the procurement strategy at the local level by collaborating effectively with HQ Procurement
- Actively participates in the Pernod Ricard Procurement transformation: implementation of best practices, procurement tools and processes, and implementation of global initiatives
- Manage sourcing, budgets, and timelines for Retail & On Premise across various POS elements (drinkware, prizing, on-packs, bar tools, displays, special packaging, sell sheets, tasting tools, signage, wearables and other merch)
- Responsible for samples, final sign off, PO creation, customs, shipment tracking and invoicing
- Management of 3rd party warehousing (shipment tracking, allocations, co-packing, inventory, storage costs)
- Oversees external portals for ordering & trains internal stakeholders
- Briefs design agency on graphics requirements and monitors production timelines
- Develop and manage supplier relationships at regional and local level: act as key interface with regional and local supplier & build strong and privileged relationships
- Resolve supplier contractual issues and claims to optimize performance of the business
- Qualify local vendors through set-up (Partner Up) & maintain the Preferred Supplier List (PSL)
- Actively collaborates with global, regional, and local business teams to ensure delivery on business needs, embodying the new posture of procurement as business partners with direct contribution to value creation
- Responsible to adhere and communicate the global S&R to the Marketing organization as it’s the key SRM for in country, offshore, & local vendors
- Supports HQ related analysis and reporting and identifies savings opportunities and works collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver. (including but not limited to summarizing key activities and issues, governance, S&R, savings, Supplier Diversity, and improvements achieved)
- Identify opportunities to optimize purchases, reduce stock / loss of materials, find synergies, forecast accurately and challenge stakeholder requests
- Be an active member of the procurement community: Participate in the sharing of best practices and improvement of various documents (benchmarks, guidelines, monitoring purchasing performance, etc.)

Skills & Requirements
- Commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive deadlines
- Strategic Sourcing & negotiations
- Good understanding of Consumer Products/Beverage industry is preferred but not required
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of POS suppliers and process

Education & Experience
- Bachelors' degree in business, or related field
- + 4 year experience in A&P and at least 2 years of experience supporting POS planning and/or execution
