What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Media Analytics & BI Enablement, the Manager, Media Analytics & BI Enablement (this is not a people manager role) will be overseeing Reporting, Data ETL and Visualizations, and providing insights and findings that support Marketing’s and Media digital and direct orgs.

In this role, you will design, develop and maintain complex visuals, reports, data pipelines and queries to enable a large group of marketing and media data users in their day-to-day operations (mostly Salesforces Marketing Cloud Intelligence – Datorama, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, DataBricks). In addition, you'll be working with data sets coming from Paid Media (Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic), Sales Data (CIBC 1st party data), Site Traffic (Adobe Analytics) and more.

The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with teams across Marketing and Media, consultants, line-of-business partners, data experts, to deliver the roadmap of variety of data products surround the CIBC clients, their digital behavior, journeys, transactions, media, etc. You will be a storyteller, who can provide insights based on the findings and communicate the “why” behind the data.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • You demonstrate experience (4 years+ experience) in developing enterprise level data pipelines, ETL and visualizations.
  • Strong working knowledge of data aggregation and visualization through 3 years+ experience in Alteryx, Tableau, Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama) and SQL.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Analytics, DataBricks, PowerBI will be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of R, Python, Java, SAS and Oracle will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Stack will be considered an asset.
  • Leverage your expertise in media and marketing reporting and analysis – You have 3 years+ experience interpreting key performance metrics, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • You are a Storyteller – you have 3 years+ experience analyzing and interpreting and presenting complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights, and crafting compelling stories that clearly communicate the “why” behind the data.
