Manager, Marketing Technology

The Manager, Marketing Technology is responsible for leading and optimizing Four Seasons’ core Brand and PR Technology platforms—including our Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Press Room Content Management Systems (CMS)—to deliver world‑class brand, content, and digital experiences. This role serves as the connective tissue between Brand Marketing, Web & Mobile, Public Relations, Social Media, and external partners and oversees platform strategy, governance, operations, and integrations that enable consistent, scalable storytelling across global channels.

This position is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Senior Director, Brand, Content & eCommerce. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Strategy & Planning     

  • Contribute to the development and alignment of Business and Technology roadmaps for brand-related platforms, including the DAM and Press Room platforms, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability and innovation as well as budget considerations
  • Maintain deep expertise in AEM and/or Contentful, including new feature releases, upcoming deprecations, extensibility options, and integration patterns.
  • Collaborate with Brand, PR, and Content teams to ensure platforms support storytelling, media relations, and brand consistency
  • Proactively optimize the operating environment to deliver reliable, scalable, well architected, and supportable business solutions
  • Leverage brand performance, consumer insights, and industry trends to inform future planning decisions
  • Define key success metrics for platform health, adoption, and performance.
  • Maintain awareness of SAAS platform enhancements as well as alternative brand, content, public relations, and social media platforms and current capabilities

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Identify and recommend appropriate solutions ensuring development is within scope and will address the business needs within agreed
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new business processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity
  • Partner with our Brand team to understand business goals and translate them into technology requirements
  • Lead the deployment of technology platforms, tools, and integrations that enable brand initiatives for global use
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver solutions that meet brand and content requirements
  • Manage testing, rollout, and adoption of new tools and systems that support brand marketing campaigns
  • Define and implement governance models, metadata standards, and taxonomy frameworks for digital assets

Operational Management

  • Prepare and manage project budgets providing cost/benefit analysis as required
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day support of brand platforms (including DAM and CMS), resolving incidents and service requests quickly
  • Oversee user administration, access controls, and data integrity within the CMS, DAM and other systems
  • Monitor DAM and CMS platform and application performance, storage, and usage to ensure reliability and scalability
  • Implement governance and compliance standards for asset usage, licensing, and digital rights management
  • Continuously assess current platforms and identify opportunities to enhance storytelling, user experience, and operational efficiency
  • Perform project management function to ensure all project successful implementation
  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
  • Create technical requirements, process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
  • Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicating these back to the business stakeholders
  • Act effectively as the technical speaker between the business and project team
  • Take the lead in helping resolve post-release / production issues

Relationship and Team Management

  • Performs management and supervisory duties by conducting staff meetings and performance reviews to ensure the efficient operation of the team
  • Forge strong and effective relationships with Business Stakeholders in Brand Marketing, Public Relations and Social Media, and Digital Products
  • Champion collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices across business and technical teams
  • Manage on-going relationship with various vendors and partners and coordinate project and support activities

What You Bring:

Required:

  • 5 to 7 years of related experience in managing enterprise‑grade DAM platforms (AEM Assets, Bynder), including authoring workflows, content models, governance frameworks, and integrations with DAM and downstream applications.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience supporting Web and Content Management Systems (eg, AEM / Contentful), including taxonomies, content structure definition,
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience supporting PR and/or Social Media platforms
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment
  • Agile project management experience preferred
  • Analytical mindset with ability to evaluate and communicate platform performance and business impact
  • Experience establishing governance process and ways of working across a globally distributed user-base
  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, IT, Marketing, Information Studies, or related fields.

Technical Skills & Competencies

Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise CMS platforms (AEM, Contentful), including component-based architecture, content modeling, workflow configuration, permissions, and multi-site management
  • Deep understanding of integration patterns between CMS and DAM systems (administration, workflows, metadata management, digital rights management)
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Meta Business Manager)
  • Systems monitoring and performance, with an ability to troubleshoot technical issues with internal or external partners
  • Knowledge of code deployment and CI/CD practices
  • Phases of the web development lifecycle in an agile environment.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Security and legal compliance

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week at our temporary 20 York Mills Road, Toronto, Ontario location with travel, as needed, to our the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
