This position is based out of Dentalcorp's Toronto Support Centre located at 181 Bay St. Mondays to Thursdays and Fridays are work from home.  Reporting to the Senior Director, People, you will lead the development and execution of HR programs and strategies that align with business objectives while enhancing the employee experience. Through program management, change leadership, and policy development, you will drive initiatives that support the organization’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • HR Program Management: Develop, implement, and oversee HR programs that enhance efficiency and the employee experience, continuously refining processes to meet evolving business needs. 

  • Change Management & Communications: Design and execute change management strategies that ensure smooth adoption of HR initiatives, fostering a culture of adaptability and engagement. 

  • Policy Development & Compliance: Lead policy updates to align with employment legislation and industry best practices, ensuring fairness, clarity, and consistency across the organization. 

  • Occupational Health & Safety Leadership: Oversee the national Occupational Health & Safety strategy, ensuring compliance while fostering a culture of well-being, accountability, and shared responsibility. 

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage HR data and insights to drive strategic improvements, ensuring continuous learning and refinement in how HR programs are developed and delivered. 

  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance HR processes, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and an exceptional experience for employees and leaders. 

  • Employee Communications: Collaborate with HR and Internal Communications teams to create clear, engaging messaging for employees. 

  • Performance & Talent Management: Oversee and improve programs such as Performance Management, Investigations, Health and Safety, and On/Offboarding. 

  • HR Project Management: Lead multiple HR projects from planning through execution, engaging stakeholders and ensuring initiatives are delivered with precision and impact. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between Operations, HR Business Partners, People Services, and Centres of Excellence. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Presentation Delivery: Present ideas and recommendations clearly and strategically, ensuring alignment and effective implementation of HR initiatives. 

  • Training Development and Delivery: Design, update, and maintain a comprehensive repository of training materials to support the continuous upskilling of stakeholders, ensuring content aligns with evolving needs and priorities. 

 

What we're looking for

  • HR Expertise: 5+ years of experience in a generalist or HR Business Partner capacity (ideally in a multi-unit environment), with a deep understanding of HR processes, programs, and policies including performance management, investigations, On/Offboarding, compliance, and HR operations. 

  • Employment Standards & Human Rights Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Human Rights legislation to ensure compliance. 

  • Project Management Experience: Proven ability to lead HR projects from concept to execution. 

  • Process Improvement Mindset: Experience in evaluating and optimizing HR processes. 

  • Data-Driven Approach: Ability to use HR data and analytics to drive strategic initiatives. 

  • HR Technology Proficiency: Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems (Workday preferred) or other HR technology. 

  • Collaboration & Influence: Strong ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and navigate complexity. 

  • Presentation & Communication Skills: Ability to deliver strategic and engaging presentations to align stakeholders. 

  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled in applying sound judgment. 

  • Proactive & Supportive: A hands-on team player who contributes to building impactful HR initiatives. 

  • Attention to Detail: Committed to excellence and delivering high-quality work.
