What You Will Get To Do:
- Prepare/ review a variety of fund reports for clients including: Net Assets Values (NAVs), distributions, reconciliation, and other fund accounting output.
- Performing month-end close processes
- Production of investor allocations and calculation of management/ incentive fees, waterfall calculations etc.
- Posting accounting entries to ledger
- Working with various products including bonds, swaps, CDOs, ABS, equities, options, FX, repos, and futures
- Working on a global team which is responsible for reconciling cash/securities to outside sources, pricing the fund portfolios, and calculating daily profit and loss.
- Assisting with researching internal differences between the accounting and trade entry systems
- Working with auditors to prepare and present year-end financial accounts
- Leader of professionals or first-level leaders working on issues of a diverse scope or coordinating department activities.
- Contribute to internal project initiatives regarding new product development, testing and implementation
- Resolve fund accounting inquiries escalated to a supervisor
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Master’s degree and/or CPA is a strong plus
- 6-8+ years’ experience in Accounting or Back Office Operations working for a Prime Broker, Administrator, Hedge Fund, Investment Advisor or Audit firm
- Experience/knowledge with hedge funds, private equity, or fund of fund
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and corporate actions
- Prior experience with various products including equities, fixed income, repurchase agreements, futures, FX, Mortgages and options
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight internal and client deadlines

Salary Range:
$61,000 - $110,000 CAD
