Governance & Control (G&C) is the first line of defence in our organization, focused on managing and mitigating risk. We partner with leadership to develop risk culture, define strategy, and deliver the tools, insights, and expertise needed to make confident, risk-aware decisions. Position Responsibilities:

As a Manager in Governance & Control, you’ll be at the center of facilitating the way we coordinate risk across the Global Technology Function. Your work will be dynamic, strategic, and future-focused.

Here’s a snapshot of your impact:

🧩 Build the Foundations: Help define the methodology and taxonomy for risk and control activities — making sure everyone speaks the same risk language.

📊 Spot the Signals: Analyze risk trends, support initiatives, and recommend effective ways to continuously improve how we manage risk.

🤖 Integrate new technologies: Identify and implement AI use cases to streamline risk, control, and regulatory processes — making our work faster and better.

⚙️ Automate with Purpose: Find opportunities to automate risk management processes, prioritize them, and lead all aspects of their development and rollout.

🏛️ Stay Ahead of Regulations: Support regulatory initiatives by assessing current practices, identifying gaps, and driving remediation plans to completion.

🤝 Lead Communities of Practice: Own procedures, deliver training, track improvements, and report performance.

📈 Keep Us on Track: Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting — scorecards, dashboards, trackers and summaries.

🌍 Be a Global Ambassador: Represent the team in global forums, leadership meeting, offsite, and conferences — sharing insights and shaping strategy.

Required Qualifications:

  • A strategic problem solver who’s passionate about risk and ready to lead and enable initiatives.

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Technology Risk, Information Security, Operational Risk, Business Resiliency, or Audit within a complex corporate environment.

  •  Proven track record in project management, risk strategy execution, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • You can simplify complexity and tell compelling stories with data.

  • Strong analytical approach with the ability to influence decisions, solve problems creatively, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Comfortable working across global time zones and navigating diverse team member environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Accounting or a related subject area.

  • Hands-on experience with GRC tools (Archer preferred) and a strong grasp of risk frameworks and control standards.

  • Expertise in risk methodologies, control design, and audit guidelines.

Working Arrangement

Salary range is expected to be between

$113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
