About the Role:
The Manager, Global Payroll is responsible for the accurate and timely processing and delivery of payroll across multiple countries, ensuring payroll is completed in compliance with local laws and company policies.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing and delivery for a global workforce across multiple countries and entities, supporting a broad range of pay types, including salaried, hourly, commission, bonus, and equity-based compensation.
This role supports day-to-day global payroll operations and works closely with a small team to ensure payroll is accurate, compliant, and well-controlled. The role includes processing payroll in Workday, ADP and coordinating with international payroll vendors.
The role also includes responsibility for payroll-related aspects of equity compensation (e.g., RSUs and PSUs), ensuring accurate taxation and reporting.
In addition to payroll, the role supports time and attendance, payroll-related audits, leave top-up payments, and payroll-related benefits and statutory programs in a lean, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and execute the end-to-end payroll process across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local laws
Manage payroll calendars, approvals, issue resolution, and coordination across time zones and currencies
Lead and support one payroll team member, including assigning work, reviewing output, and providing day-to-day guidance
Oversee time and attendance processes, ensuring accurate tracking, approvals, and integration with payroll
Administer short term disability, maternity and parental leave top-up payments, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies and local requirements
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll vendors, including Third party payroll vendors, ensuring service quality and timely delivery
Partner with HRIS to support system updates, integrations, and ongoing improvements to payroll and time tracking processes
Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable legislation, tax requirements, and company policies across all jurisdictions
Review payroll journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Coordinate global year-end payroll activities, including employee tax reporting and government filings
Support payroll-related aspects of equity compensation, including understanding tax implications and reporting requirements
Support payroll audits by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance across payroll, workers compensation and pension processes.
Identify and implement practical improvements to payroll, time and attendance, and related processes, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with HR, Total Rewards, Finance, and Legal on payroll, benefits, and leave-related matters

Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field
Payroll certification required (PCP); PLP is considered a strong asset
5–7 years of progressive payroll experience, including hands-on payroll processing experience earlier in career
Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing payroll while maintaining a strong understanding of detailed payroll processes (e.g., calculations, deductions, reconciliations)
Experience supporting or overseeing others in a payroll function
Experience with Workday Payroll and ADP or other international payroll vendors
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax requirements, and compliance across jurisdictions
Experience supporting audits and working within controlled environments (e.g., SOX)
Working knowledge of payroll accounting, including reconciliations and journal entries
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

$87,628.00 / 87.628,00$ - $109,535.00 / 109.535,00$ (per year / par an) Final pay within this range will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and the geographic location of the role.
