Job Description:
The successful candidate will assist the Senior Director in all facets of strategic category management and supplier optimization. This includes spearheading high-priority RFI, RFP, RFQ processes, and other relevant sourcing activities throughout the procurement lifecycle.
What You’ll Do:

Leverage experience in indirect contract sourcing to identify and manage cost optimization opportunities across various spend categories.

Pivot to strategic sourcing methods effectively to provide strategic insights on annual spend associated with specific categories and suppliers.

Exhibit exceptional communication skills during interactions with vendors, legal teams, and leadership.

Conduct third-party research and evaluate industry trends to interpret potential implications.

Assist with the launch of procurement tools, including a contract management system and online purchasing.
What You’ll Need:
-
Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred).
-
5+ years of equivalent experience in sourcing/procurement/vendor management or related consulting/advisory roles.

Experience in supplier development/management/monitoring and risk management.
-
Project management experience, PM certification an asset.
-
Formal training and working-level experience on eSourcing tools, SAP, or another similar ERP system.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize changing demands.

Strong analytical, financial modeling, and negotiating skills.

Self-starter, well-organized, able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Superior ability to influence and build relationships (both internally and externally) at all levels.

Detail-oriented, flexible, agreeable, and a team player.

Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Outlook Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet savvy.
