As Manager, Design & Technical Services, Americas – Luxury, you play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of the region’s luxury development and renovation projects by ensuring operational clarity, tracking, and cross-functional coordination. Acting as a strategic right hand to the VP, you oversee project progress, internal reporting, and departmental communications while liaising with internal teams and external partners. This role combines strategic oversight with high-level operational support—requiring a unique blend of organizational excellence, communication savvy, and design-driven intuition.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Project Tracking & Strategic Reporting

  • Lead and maintain macro-level project tracking tools for the Design & Technical Services Americas Luxury team.
  • Oversee timely updates on project status, pipeline activity, and critical milestones across the region.
  • Compile, manage, and present internal reporting on hotel openings, team workload, and departmental KPIs.
  • Fees tracking & P&L monitoring.

 

Cross-Functional Communication

  • Serve as a key liaison between D&TS and corporate departments such as Brand, Legal, HR, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Coordinate the flow of information and ensure alignment between stakeholders and project objectives.
  • Support preparation and delivery of strategic planning briefs, business updates, and reporting packages.

 

Team Support & Operational Planning

  • Assist in drafting and coordinating Design Briefs, PIPs (Property Improvement Plans), and other technical documents in collaboration with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Contribute to the preparation of high-quality presentations and project documentation aligned with brand and company standards.
  • Provide calendar and logistics support to the VP, including meeting preparation, scheduling, note-taking, and follow-ups on assigned tasks.

 

Organization & Administrative Excellence

  • Maintain digital filing systems and knowledge-sharing platforms to enhance team efficiency.
  • Coordinate team activities, events, and key departmental communications.
  • Ensure responsiveness to information requests and assist in prioritizing the VP’s workload in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Interface confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including Accor senior leadership, hotel owners, developers, interior designers, contractors, and project consultants.
  • Ensure a high standard of professionalism and brand representation in all correspondence and documentation.

Qualifications

 

  • Highly organized, with strong ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distill complex project updates into clear, actionable insights.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in crafting compelling, brand-aligned presentations and supporting visual storytelling.
  • Comfortable navigating finance and project budget documentation (e.g., P&Ls, capital planning, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and interpersonal judgment.
  • Adept at working independently as well as collaboratively across departments.

Additional Information

  • Office based: Toronto, ON
  • The Ontario base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience and/or work location.
  • This position is currently vacant and we are seeking a qualified candidate to fill it.
