Position Summary

The Manager of Data Management holds the responsibility for overseeing the strategy, technical guidance, and supervision of  data management and technology systems. This includes all data activities and related processes across the organization. Effective operations are ensured through the evaluation and management of vendor relationships and internal resources. Collaboration with internal stakeholders is essential to manage existing Data Management processes and provide support for new advanced system projects. Continuous assessment of the current system's performance is conducted to identify areas for improvement, recommending upgrades and enhancements to enhance business productivity and performance. Additionally, the Manager contributes to the development and defense of data management evidence required for regulatory compliance. The candidate is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct, policies and internal control procedures, laws and regulations.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and develops a team of Data Analysts through coaching and mentoring
  • Ensures timely and accurate delivery of data by overseeing data collection across multiple data Management systems
  • Manages processes to maintain high data integrity through control, audit, and validation of data capture, estimation, and validation procedures
  • Ensures execution, validation, edits, and estimation of data for billing, and investigates and reconciles data gaps when necessary
  • Continuously improves data management processes to enhance business productivity
  • Provides input, develops, and defends evidence to support regulatory compliance
  • Collaborates with IT and Engineering teams to maintain and monitor  data management system performance, initiating necessary actions for optimal performance
  • Manages the process of resolving defective meter  and meter communication issues by coordinating with internal and external technicians
  • Handles communication and inquiries from internal departments regarding  data management and the onboarding/offboarding of new s
  • Oversees the registration, commissioning, auditing, and performance testing processes for new  installations and  exchanges in  Data Management and Billing systems
  • Develops, maintains, updates, and completes reports, work procedures, records, and documentation related to  Data Management as required
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Team player
  • Demonstrated leadership quality
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience with Data Management  infrastructure and systems, billing systems, communication technology, and Oracle databases
  • Solid understanding of data collection, processing, and billing processes, specifically related to meter-to-cash operations
  • Familiarity with billing data validation and estimation processes
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations pertaining to meters and meter data
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data management, collections, payments, and billing best practices
  • Experience in performance measurement and quality monitoring
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex customer, process, and technology-related issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen
