As Manager, Data Analytics, you will lead and develop a local analytics team while providing technical and project leadership in the team's day-to-day project portfolios. As part of Stryker’s Sales Enablement team, you will support collaboration with Stryker enterprise across functions to leverage domain expertise and capabilities while managing expectations on timing and scope of project work. You will also develop, lead, and communicate strategic priorities for team that align with domain and business strategic priorities.
What you will do
- Design and manage big data dashboards in PowerBI for Canada, ensuring a “single source of truth” by integrating internal and external market data.
- Create impactful visualizations that enable key stakeholders to quickly interpret complex data and uncover actionable insights.
- Build and lead a high-performing team by actively coaching, mentoring, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Apply financial acumen to assess the financial impact of existing projects and evaluate new business opportunities.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Stryker Canada’s Senior Management, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Operations, and IT to leverage expertise and identify growth opportunities.
- Strengthen global alignment by partnering with Business Insights teams in the U.S. and international regions to standardize data strategies, dashboards, and technology platforms.
- Develop and implement training programs to support end-user adoption of new dashboards and tools, ensuring effective change management.
- Enhance team expertise through continuous internal and external training, fostering both functional and technical proficiency.
- Lead strategic discussions with data teams and business stakeholders to identify and implement machine learning solutions for real-world business challenges.
- Communicate insights effectively by presenting complex analysis in a clear, compelling manner to leadership.
- Support team growth and succession planning by implementing individualized development plans.
What you need
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent field of study.
- 8+ years of work experience, with at least 2+ years of direct people leadership experience.
- Experience leading end-to-end data analytics projects.
- Experience with data structures and programming languages central to data analytics (e.g., SQL, Python, R, DAX, M).
- Experience leading data transformation, data cleansing concepts, relational databases, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with data governance concepts.
- Experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in data analytics, data science or business analytics.
Travel Percentage: 20%
