What is the opportunity?

As a Manager, Data Analytics, you will be the subject matter expert for Cards and Payments Data, playing a key role in driving superior business results, by enabling product managers to have access to data and insights through analytics reports and dashboards on new and existing business opportunities. Champion the use of deep analytic rigour as the basis for the decision management methodology and leverage all available sources of data to create value within the business.

What will you do?

  • Become the data subject matter expert (SME) for Cards and Payments in support of decision management initiatives.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create & support reports and insights material for tracking the CEBA program.

  • Be a thought partner within the Decision Management team, supporting data analysis and communicating meaningful insights that are valued by partners across Cards and Payments

  • Transform the way Cards and Payments uses data by developing advanced reporting and analytics to serve external and internal clients.

  • Identify appropriate data source, develop reporting solutions, and automate the process to support regular reporting that help business partner make informed decisions timely.

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation related to reporting solutions, including specifications, data lineage, technical and business definitions for metrics.

  • Test and validate (QA) new and existing reports and analytics for adherence to business and technical requirements.

  • Perform ad hoc data analysis/reporting to support any the business partners with their business case or project tracking.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Proven technical skills and experience at using analytical software tools and applications such as SAS, Tableau, SQL, Python

  • Experienced working with data in relational databases

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conceptualize strategy.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively in a cross-function environment as well as independently, taking initiative and ownership.

  • Experience with database systems and data management.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of RBC databases and RBC data warehouse environment.

  • Knowledge of credit cards and payments

  • Certification in SAS, Tableau and/or relational databases

  • Experience in Unix/Linux Shell scripting, Hadoop.
