Job Summary:
As Manager of Credit Administration, you will lead funding and credit operations for a Commercial Real Estate portfolio, ensuring seamless loan disbursement, account monitoring, and security documentation. Collaborating with borrowers, C1 clients, financial institutions, and legal counsel, you’ll drive efficient loan closings and proactive management of maturing documentation, helping to protect and strengthen Central 1’s financial interests.
This role requires you to be in the Toronto office, once a week
What you'll be doing:
Loan & Security Administration
-
Oversee syndicated loan servicing, security documentation, and credit conditions. Ensure timely renewal of credit terms and compliance with lending standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration
-
Act as primary liaison with borrowers, clients, financial institutions, legal counsel, compliance, finance, regulators, and auditors. Ensure smooth loan closings, documentation, and resolution of inquiries.
Funding & Credit Operations
-
Supervise loan disbursements, account monitoring, credit inquiries, invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting. Maintain data integrity and enforce internal controls.
Process & Risk Management
-
Identify and implement process improvements, system upgrades, and risk strategies. Maintain Business Continuity Plans and ensure AML compliance.
Technology & Systems Oversight
-
Lead loan system implementations and troubleshoot technical issues with vendors. Maintain expertise in commercial loan systems (PPlus, LoanStreet).
Leadership & Development
-
Manage staff through training, performance planning, and succession planning. Ensure role clarity and foster a high-performance culture.
Strategic Enhancements
-
Refine operational processes, leverage technology for efficiency, and drive year-over-year improvements in service delivery.
Business Continuity & Risk Management
-
Assess operational risks and implement risk controls with the AVP. Update Business Continuity Plan (BCP) annually with the Operational Risk Group.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
-
Ensure AML compliance and serve as liaison with finance, regulators, and auditors. Close audit findings within timelines.
Technology & System Implementation
-
Lead loan system upgrades, decommissioning, and new implementations. Act as primary contact for Treasury Technology and external vendors.
Industry & Product Knowledge

Stay current on interest rate products, including CORRA-based pricing.
Process Improvement & Training
-
Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies

Support lending projects and update the process summary/Improvement document annually with best practices.
Staff & Performance Management
-
Lead, develop, and manage staff, setting productivity metrics and implementing performance systems. Create training plans and ensure role clarity. Manage scheduling, cross-training, and succession plans.
Operational & Service Delivery

Define workgroup priorities, resolve service exceptions, improve processes, and collaborate on system enhancements to optimize resource use and efficiency.
What you'll have:

Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance or a related field.

Experience: At least 10 years in commercial real estate funding and administration, with exposure to construction and term loans.

Teamwork: Strong emphasis on working well with others, collaborating with departments such as Finance, Compliance, Credit & Counterparty Risk, and Treasury Technology.

Client Interaction: Frequent contact with financial institutions and C1 clients in an advisory role.

Collaboration: Must approach tasks cooperatively, demonstrate tact and discretion when dealing with various stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Handle a variety of issues, referring complex matters to the AVP, Commercial Real Estate Lending.

Conflict Resolution: Must resolve differing perspectives on security-related issues.

Workload Management: Ability to manage a varied and demanding workload effectively.
Salary range: $95,000-$115,000
The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
