Job Description:

Corporate & Public Affairs delivers best-in-class internal and external communications that differentiate TD, strengthen our brand, and support strategic business outcomes. Within CAPA, the COO Communications function supports the Enterprise Chief Operating Officer and COO Office in bringing the COO mandate to life across the Bank.

The Enterprise COO organization exists to enable execution of TD’s strategy at scale with pace and discipline. COO Communications plays a critical role in translating this mandate into clear, compelling, and consistent narratives that build understanding, alignment, and momentum across the organization and with external stakeholders.

Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced, strategic communications professional to support internal and external Enterprise COO communications, working closely with the COO Office, CAPA partners, and Enterprise stakeholders.

This role plays a lead part in driving strategy and supporting executive communications for the COO, ensuring the COO mandate is clearly articulated, consistently reinforced, and brought to life through tangible examples that demonstrate enterprise execution, simplicity, and disciplined delivery. The role will also help shape the colleague experience within the COO function through communications and engagement strategies, including leading key forums such as COO town halls and other events that drive understanding, alignment and momentum around enterprise priorities.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Drive strategy and executive communications in support of the Chief Operating Officer, including overseeing and prioritizing incoming leadership requests and researching, drafting, and editing flawless materials including speaking remarks, video scripts and leadership messages, internal articles, announcements, and strategic narratives.
  • Partner closely with the COO Office to support leadership requests, anticipate communication needs, and ensure alignment between strategy, narrative, and delivery.
  • Act as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders, demonstrating sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate confidently in high‑stakes, fast‑moving environments.
  • Lead communication strategy and execution for key COO forums, including town halls and leadership meetings, by shaping content and narratives, managing event communications and overseeing logistics to ensure seamless delivery and strong audience engagement.
  • Develop compelling storytelling that brings complex enterprise initiatives to life, using the most effective formats and channels to reach diverse audiences with clarity and impact, helping translate the COO mandate into clear, outcome‑focused communications that reinforce enterprise priorities and momentum across segments and functions.
  • Consistently demonstrate strong project management and the ability to partner effectively across the organization and colleagues within CAPA, ensuring communications are delivered with discipline, pace, and high quality while navigating multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Required skills and experience for the job:

The successful candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate or agency communications environment ideally within a large, complex, or regulated organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking, sound judgment, and experience advising leaders on sensitive and high‑profile matters.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex subject matter into clear, compelling and concise messages that are easy to understand.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and collaboratively, building strong partnerships across teams.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience leading executive events, town halls, or other forums, including agenda development, speaker support, stakeholder coordination and event logistics.
  • An adaptable, inquisitive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Digital fluency and demonstrated experience using AI and social media for corporate communications.
